The mitts have finally cleared customs and now in my possession and after quality checking all 600 of them they will soon be available for sale.

Powerchair users who suffer from cold and debilitating hand conditions resulting from Cerebral palsy, Rheumatoid arthritis, Raynaud syndrome and others that also restrict the movement of the hands have the almost impossible task of putting on and removing gloves / mittens to handle important items such as money, phone, keys etc and rely mostly on carer assistance to perform this task for them taking away their independence and sadly for some their dignity.

THE POWERCHAIR MITT HAS BEEN DESIGNED
TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM


Attaching itself over the arm and control joystick of the powerchair it allows the user to easily insert their hand into the mitt insulating it from the elements like a glove or mitten, the patented design allows the joystick to penetrate inside the mitt allowing the user to have direct hand contact with the control joystick so not compromising their ability to control their chair.


If the user wishes to handle items such as phone, money, keys etc they no longer have the problem of removing gloves they simply remove their hand from the mitt (which remains attached to the powerchair) giving them direct hand contact with the items.


When finished they simply insert their hand back in the mitt giving them immediate/direct hand contact with their control joystick to operate their powerchair.


Another advantage of the powerchair mitt is that it is attached to the powerchair and as such removes the problem of the user dropping gloves or mittens to the floor when trying to remove them or put them on, something that would be a problem for a person restricted to a Powerchair/wheelchair.


Even for those who have no medical condition(s) but suffer stiff joints due to age and struggle with gloves the Powerchair mitt is the ideal solution.
